The first thing you need to know...

Innomination is NOT a Trading Card Game (TCG)

Innomination is just a card game. No trading! You already get everything.

Why isn't Innomination a Trading Card Game?

This is a long answer and a personal one. You can find the answer to that here.

What kind of card game is Innomination?

Innomination is a 1v1, resource-based, expandable card game designed to be competitive. Both players play the Leader of a nation. Play cards from your hand that put creatures and spells into play. The goal is to defeat your opponent by reducing their Leader's life to zero.

In other words: Innomination is if the MTG and YGO TCGs reconciled, got rid of 25+ years of baggage, learned a few things, and weren't TCGs. It's easy to see Innomination is inspired by these two games, but it plays differently from them. Some skills transfer over, some do not.

How is it sold?

At the moment, Innomination is NOT FOR SALE. We are currently at Prototype 5 and aiming for 1.0 release.

In the future, it may be possible to get a physical demo of the game you are allowed to own and take with you. Click on  State of the Game for updates. One day, we will have information up on how you may get a copy.

Do I have to buy Booster Packs?

NO! Innomination is not designed with rarity pulls in mind. Booster packs wouldn't make any sense. Innomination may be sold in expansions (if we ever get there!), but never in booster packs.

Is Innomination difficult to play?

On a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being a game that's easy to play (like Tic-Tac-Toe), and 5 being the most complex tabletop games available (like Gloomhaven), we think Innomination sits at a 4.

Innomination asks you to learn its cards, effects, problem solving card text, and phases of the turn.
This game is designed to be intuitive. You only need to learn the first three turns. The rest should follow.

Can I buy Innomination?

This is the dream!

Originally we tried to do a Kickstarter, but that didn't work out. Even though that failed, I still believe in this game. Innomination is something I can afford on my own... it's just gonna take awhile.

There are about 170 unique cards in the game. Each one needs its own art. Innomination isn't a photorealistic, dark/gothic fantasy. It's a Science Fantasy. Art that properly conveys the world and message this game has is expensive.

It all has to be funded from a single guy with l... i... t... t... l... e... m... o... n... e... y... (it's a reference).

I expect to pay about $200 per card illustration and $2500 for box art.

That's about $36,500. It's gonna take money to make this game.
